Market Notes
The last several years have seen a lot of changes in the real estate industry. 10 years ago, we were excited to get people into homes at the "amazingly low" interest rates that were below 7 percent. We thought they'd never last! For a few years, we watched home prices skyrocket, while interest rates continued to drop.
When the market started to adjust, buyers started waiting for things to "hit bottom". The economy of 2008 to 2010 resulted in a lot of short sale and foreclosure listings. These types of sales require patience and persistence different from "standard" real estate sales. If I can help you navigate through any of these situations, please give me a call.
ALL SITE GUESTS
While I do offer the opportunity to sign my guest book, registration is not required to access any part of this site. I hope that you will find useful and entertaining information here, and will visit often.
Specialization
I specialize in representing my real estate clients in the purchases and sales of single-family residences and horse property in the Inland Empire, particularly within the areas of Norco, Riverside, and Mira Loma. I keep current of all real estate transactions in these areas, and I'm also very knowledgeable with the Norco, Corona, Sky Country, and Jurupa Schools. I work throughout Southern California, mainly in Riverside County and San Bernardino County, and have an excellent referral network for any area that is beyond my range. If you're thinking of relocating, and can't find anyone in the right destination on my Out-of-area realtors page, I'd be happy to provide you with a referral to someone else.
While my office doesn't handle rentals or offer property management, we do list lease/rentals on this site as a courtesy to friends and clients. I also post fundraisers and garage sales on the classifieds page. This is another free service, and I'd be happy to post your information. My goal is to be a valued member of the community, and to earn your trust before asking for your business.
Personal
I've lived in the Norco and Mira Loma area for about 20 years now - have lived on horse property for more than 30. When I got to the point where I was boarding 4 horses, that's when I made the move from a condo to horsekeeping at home. (Can you relate?)
While writing about the changes to the industry, I noticed how long it had been since I updated my "personal" info. My two younger children are in high school and college - I can't believe that when I first went back to work, they were frequently with me when I showed property! Before I got GPS, I taught the kids to read mapbooks...
Brad, our oldest, is in the Coast Guard. He is stationed in Alaska, where he and his lovely wife have started a family.
Brian graduated Marine Corps boot camp on Sept. 10, 2004. He has been to Iraq twice and Afghanistan once. Brian and his gorgeous young wife are the proud parents of Johnny and Brooke.
Staying at home in Norco and then Sky Country to raise four wonderful young people was a privilege, and has convinced me that these are great communities! I've been actively involved as a 4H leader and a volunteer in several causes. We helped furnish the Loma Linda Ronald McDonald House with toys when it was built, and provided children's art activities for all the fundraisers for it for the first few years after it was built.
For several years, I was the chairperson for the Norco Fair's Rabbit show and Dog show. 4H got my daughter, Vanessa, started with horse judging and hippology competitions. She has represented California at 4H nationals in both those competitions. Her college major is Equine Science.
We have also started camping with our horses, something I haven't had time for since before kids. You can find camping information at Clubs, State, Camping. That same page has links to Horse Clubs and State & County Offices.
My children have all been active volunteers with me, from working the fundraisers, to participating in planting the trees along 6th street, to cleaning stalls for the evacuated horses who stayed in Norco during the fires. We belong to the Norco Crusaders 4H club, and to CSHA (California State Horsemens Association). See Events and Horse Shows for these clubs' activities and for other community happenings. I post LOST AND FOUND pets on the Classifieds page; for animal control or animal rescue organizations, look on the utilities, feed, etc. page.
